In my time spent living life as a fat girl, I have found that both men and women alike seem to be under the impression that fat girls are desperate. Desperate for friendships, for romances, for attention, for sex, etc. That, since we're fat, and people don't like fat, fat girls are desperate, and should take what they can get.
How shitty is that? I'm the furthest thing from desperate. I'd rather spend my time alone then go off desperately seeking attention or companionship.
Fat girls are seen as easy targets, or, an easy lay, if you will. I guess because we're fat, people assume no one loves us, and if they offer, we'll accept. I'm not saying this is the case for everyone, as I've seen big girls who get a little attention when they desperately seek it. But some of us have a higher level of self-respect.

ReplyDeleteI'm glad to hear you have a higher level of self-respect. As a guy that likes larger girls, I find it sad that a lot of girls play into that stereotype. I've seen many girls that really would be very attractive but they dress frumpy and scuzzy and they act like they are worthless nobodies and settle for the least bit of attention. What I'm saying is, how they feel internally shows on the outside by how they dress, act, talk and choices they make. It makes me very, very sad. Their low self esteem and low self worth completely overshadow their physical beauty. I would love to help them somehow but how they feel on the inside is not something I can change for them. :-(
